Demolition is the part of a project where shortcuts cost the most. A wall comes down that was holding something up, asbestos gets disturbed without containment, or debris removal is not priced in and the job stalls.

We survey first: what is structural, what services run through it, and whether anything present needs licensed abatement before work starts. Then we sequence the strip-out so the building stays safe and the site stays workable.

Our scope covers interior strip-outs, basement and cellar demolition, chimney and wall removal, and full gut preparation. Debris removal and disposal are included in the quote, not added afterwards.

Common questions

Can you remove a load-bearing wall?
Yes, but it requires an engineer's drawing and temporary support before anything is cut, and usually a permit. We arrange the survey and tell you what is involved before quoting.
Is debris removal included in the price?
Yes. Disposal is quoted as part of the job, including container hire and tipping. It is one of the most common things other quotes leave out.
What about asbestos or lead?
In buildings of a certain age both are possible. If the survey suggests either, work stops until it is tested, and licensed abatement is carried out before demolition continues. That is a legal requirement, not an optional extra.
How much disruption should I expect?
Demolition is noisy and dusty by nature. We seal off work areas, protect floors and routes, and clean down at the end of each day. We can also work to agreed hours where neighbours or a building require it.
